Entomoni Village

Entomoni is a community of nomads in a region of devastating droughts. Water independence in this region ensures the girls have enough time to concentrate on education and other income generating projects to enhance their livelihood. Families use the water to diversify their economic activities to include smart agriculture and micro-lending programs using revenue from the water.

"I am a hardworking, ambitious, and hopeful mother. My upbringing was not as easy, but now things are a bit better. For example, we never used to have tapped water as we do now. My typical day starts with prepaing breakfast for my kids, then I check on our cattle and ensure they go out to graze before doing other jobs in the homestead. Taking care of my family is my full-time job and I love it."
