Ngarenarok Women's Group

Ngarenarok socio-economic empowerment group is in Samburu County, where the major economic activities are cattle rearing and stone mining. Women used to spend over four hours daily fetching water, causing many children to drop out of school. Now, the community has clean water and women have more time to engage in beading and community savings. Their goal is to create financial empowerment and mitigate early marriages and FGM.
